More about my triangle/handkerchief scarves…
You can arrange the ‘point’ to front, side or back, or wear the scarf over your head as a snood. Because it can't come undone it’s good for winter sports, and it’s a neat fit under a jacket or coat to add warmth when needed. But you can also wear it over your jacket or coat for a distinctive extra layer and a splash of colour.
I often take mine with me on holidays because it’s so easy to pop over my head on the plane when the air conditioning is too strong.
These scarves are knitted in 100% cotton or 60% cotton and 40% silk, depending on colour. See the photographs of the scarves on a model to show the size. There is no wool in these scarves so they are not at all itchy.
They are fully washable and easy to look after. No need to dry clean.

Knitted clothes and accessories are probably the perfect example of ‘slow fashion’. I believe that we should choose the clothing we buy carefully, select items which will last, ideally keep them for years, and know how to look after each piece.
And because I knit only very small quantities of each piece, wastage is reduced, and production is more sustainable. Nothing is made in the far east, everything is handmade in Britain, slowly and carefully, and made to last.
I’m delighted to say that some of my customers are still wearing knits they bought from me 20 years ago.

I recommend hand washing this scarf in cool or warm water (not hot) using a gentle non-biological washing powder/cleanser.
If your washing machine has a reliable delicate programme you can pop your scarf into a pillow slip or laundry bag to wash it in your washing machine on the delicate setting at 30 degrees C.
Rinse thoroughly.
To dry your scarf - begin with either a gentle spin or roll it and gently squeeze it in a towel to remove most of the water and lay it flat (eg on a towel) to dry. If needed you can ease or pat the scarf into shape.
You can read more general garment care information here. Or ask me - I’m always happy to help.
