I keep small quantities of my most popular items in stock. This means that most orders will usually be posted within 2-3 working days of receiving your order. Exceptions to this are if I am away from my studio - for example at an event. Delivery within the UK is usually 4-5 working days from posting/despatch.
If dispatch and delivery are likely to be delayed I will let you know straightaway, so you will be able to change your mind and request a refund if you prefer not to wait.
-
If your order is not in stock I will let you know as soon as I can, and usually I will be able to knit one specially for you. Under these circumstances you should allow up to 28 days for it to arrive. All of these details will be confirmed to you as soon as I’ve received your order and if you don’t wish to wait for your order to be knitted you can choose to receive a full refund.
If you need your order by a specific date please let me know. I’ll do my best to help, and I’ll let you know what I can do.

Getting the right garment and fit is really important, and I want my customers to feel able to buy on my web site with complete confidence.
If you've changed your mind about anything you've bought from me on this web site you can return your purchase to me for exchange or refund as long as you return it unworn, in perfect condition, with all of the tags intact and properly attached.
You can find full information about returns here. Please read the details in full before you return something, so you know how to go about it.
You will also find full details of the circumstances under which a refund or exchange will not be possible here.

We all have an idea of our size - usually based on where we buy our clothes. However, a size 14 (for example) in one shop is likely to be different from a size 14 in another.
My knitwear is pre-washed and won’t shrink or stretch with normal treatment.
Garments of the same size will vary depending on the style as they will have more or less ‘ease’, but they will fit the size indicated.
To order the right size, it’s best to ask a friend to measure you carefully when wearing your usual underwear, and compare the result against my size guide.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me by email or telephone if you would like further sizing advice. I'm always happy to help.
I've written a blog post which has more information on how to measure and choose your size for online purchases, which you may also find helpful to read.

Yes - you can. I produce many of my orders ‘on demand’ and I can usually knit your size even if it is outside my usual range.
If you would like to discuss a custom size, or if you have any queries on any aspect of my knitwear, please email or phone.

The screen on your phone or computer may display colours slightly differently from screens on other phones or computers.
When I take photographs of my knitwear for this website, I spend a lot of time making sure that the colours in the photograph are true to the colours of the actual product.
I also check how my photographs look on different screens and different browsers, so the pictures of my knitwear on this website are as accurate as possible.
But - there may still be some variations between different devices, and this is not under my control.
I make each piece of knitwear individually, and I often use artisan yarns and yarns from companies who only make small quantities at a time, so there may be small variations in colour and texture between individual batches of the yarns that I buy. This means that there may also be minor differences in colours and textures of individual garments from the garments you can see in the photographs.
Please note that the photographs on this website are taken by me and are not created by AI.

All of my knitwear is washable. Dry cleaning is not necessary.
It’s best to turn items inside out before washing.
To maintain the softness, quality and drape of the garment it should be carefully hand washed in cool water (approximately 30 deg C).
You should use a gentle non-biological product. Don't use harsh detergents or those containing bleaches and/or optical whiteners, as these damage the fibres & reduce the intensity & quality of colours. Do not bleach.
Dark colours & all hand-dyed & denim yarns should be washed separately.
After washing, rinse well. Roll in a towel to remove excess water if needed.
Gently ease garment into shape while damp. Dry flat, away from direct sunlight. Don't tumble dry.
Denim yarns are designed to fade over time with washing & wearing.
Denim dyes are less fixed than other dyes and when they are new, some of the colour can transfer onto light coloured fabrics in wear.
If you wash your denim knitwear before you wear it for the first time will help with this.
My garments have a sewn-in care label.
Garments and accessories will also come with a swing tag which has full care instructions on it.
You can find more information about garment care here.

With apologies, from December 2024 it will no longer be possible for me to fulfil any orders to be shipped to Northern Ireland or any of the countries in the EU.
At present the implementation costs, bureaucracy and red tape required by the GPSR legislation are prohibitive and simply unrealistic for my one-person business. I hope this situation will be temporary and that I will be able to fulfil orders to these countries in future.

Yes I can. You may know that due to recent changes, items shipped to the USA are now subject to 10% import tariff (10% at the time of writing - the amount is subject to change at any time) which must be paid before the goods cross the border. In addition, my courier charges a small handling fee to manage this process. At the present time the handling fee is approximately 1% of the cost of the order.
For my USA customers the current 10% tariff and handling fee is now automatically calculated on the product value and included in the shipping total at checkout. This means that, as required, import tariffs have been paid before the parcel is imported into the USA.
