I design, knit and finish my knitwear on my vintage knitting machine at my studio in Surrey UK. It’s slow fashion, so everything is handmade, finely crafted and never mass produced.

You’ll find more wool-free knits in my ‘wool-free collection’, and more size friendly knits in my ‘inclusive sizing collection’. And if you’re looking for knits for warmer weather you’ll find those here.

More about my big wrap…

These oversized layering coatigans are flexible and easy to wear. They are knitted in 65% cotton 35% linen. Wool free, so no itch.

They are fully washable and easy to look after. No need to dry clean. See garment care for details.

  • ‘Invisible mannequin’ is UK size 12

Length at centre back approx. 118cm (excl collar)

On smaller bodies (eg UK 10) the fronts overlap more; on larger bodies (eg UK 18-20) the fronts overlap less – the drape is elegant on all sizes

Customers wearing my big wrap have ranged from 5’4” to 5’10” in height

Two of my lovely customers have posted pictures (which you can see left) so you can see the wraps ’in real life’!

  • Knitted clothes and accessories are probably the perfect example of ‘slow fashion’. I believe that we should choose the clothing we buy carefully, select items which will last, ideally keep them for years, and know how to look after each piece.

And because I knit only very small quantities of each piece, wastage is reduced, and production is more sustainable. Nothing is made in the far east, everything is handmade in Britain, slowly and carefully, and made to last.

I’m delighted to say that some of my customers are still wearing knits they bought from me 20 years ago.
