Christmas 2024 last order dates

It’s always best to get your Christmas orders in as early as possible.

Very important Please note that my last order dates relate to items which I have in stock. If an item is not in stock and I need to make it for you, this may add a few days - or more - to the process.

If I don’t have the item in stock when I receive your order I will let you know straightaway, so you will know if there will be any delay. If you prefer not to wait you will be able to request a refund if you so wish.

LAST ORDER DATE : Monday 16th December midday

My recommendation: I recommend that you get your Christmas orders in during the week commencing Monday 9th December.

If that’s not possible: All orders for items I have in stock which reach me any time up to Monday 16th December at midday should reach their destinations in the UK in good time for Christmas.

For any orders I receive after 16th December at midday

I will process and post orders which arrive after 16th December as quickly as I can.
BUT, although your order may reach you before Christmas, this is not certain.
Sadly, some orders which I receive after 16th December won’t be delivered in time - this is outside my control, and is why I recommend that you order as early as possible.
This is always a busy time of year for Royal Mail and courier companies, which is why I recommend that you should place your Christmas orders as early as possible.

Next working day delivery

Very important - next (working) day delivery is only possible if the item you want is in stock. If it’s not in stock I can’t send it for delivery the next day!
Please get in touch BEFORE YOU ORDER to check availability of the items and to check if I am here and able to fulfil your order in time.
My business is just me. So there are times when - with apologies - I won’t be able to accept your order for next day delivery. For example if I have appointments or events which take me away from my office, or if I’m busy working on another order etc. This is why I ask you to get in touch to check availability for the service.
If I accept your order items will usually be sent using Royal Mail Special Delivery.
There is an additional charge for next day delivery. See delivery and returns for more info.
Orders for next day delivery must reach me by 11am.

NB For next day deliveries I usually use Royal Mail ‘Special Delivery’. At the moment this service is mostly reliable but not infallible and, sadly, Royal Mail and courier services are not under my control. I apologise for any inconvenience if an item doesn’t reach you when it should. Please note that this service is next working day - so if you order on a Friday, delivery will not be before the following Monday.

Standard delivery

During December I make a huge effort to dispatch standard delivery orders on the day of the order, or the day after, if I possibly can, but this isn’t always possible.

Gift vouchers

Gift vouchers (post) - order by midday on Monday 16th December.
Gift vouchers (email) - order by midday on Friday 20th December.

Emailed gift vouchers

If you order your gift voucher to be sent by email you can order any time up to midday on 20 December. The gift voucher will be emailed within 24 hours. It can go direct to you or to the recipient with a covering message, whichever you prefer.

Missed a last order date?

If you would like to place a Christmas order but you have missed one of the dates I've listed above, please get in touch with me as soon as you can. I can often manage a last minute order at short notice, and occasionally I can deliver by hand if it's local.

Delivery outside the UK

Please email me telling me what you’d like to order and where it should be sent and I will confirm last order dates and all other details as soon as I can.
Please get in touch if you'd like specific information relating to your order.
Delivery to UK Highlands and Islands

Standard delivery and next day delivery both typically take around 24 hours longer than UK Mainland delivery.

If the item you want is not in stock

...and for custom and special orders

If I don’t have the items you’ve ordered in stock I’ll advise you as soon as possible as to the likely delivery date so you can decide if you are happy to wait. If it’s not in stock, I’ll either arrange a refund or I can send a gift voucher, whichever you prefer.

Orders received between Christmas and New Year

If you order after the dates indicated above and I’m not able to complete your order before Christmas - but you still want to go ahead - your order will be dispatched on or after 6th January 2025 - unless I have confirmed in writing that it will be sent sooner.
